Y Alumni are spread over the globe now, working on almost every continent. Many alums remember their Y work as among the most valuable experiences of their undergraduate days. Y graduates have used Y leadership posts on their resumes long after leaving college, and many continue community work along with career work and raising families.
For today’s students, being in touch with Y alumni carries a high priority. Y alumni give them a window into the world of work, guidance on initial jobs and entry into various fields and some ideas about how to combine student interests with career possibilities. Every visit by a Y alumnus or alumna is a glimpse of the adult world these students will soon occupy. So when alumni visit Chapel Hill, they are sure of a warm welcome at the Y. We’d like to see you too!
