Helping Youth

Helping Youth by Providing Enrichment (HYPE) provides social, cultural and educational experiences for children living in Chapel Hill-Carrboro low-income, public housing communities. In addition to serving as tutors, playmates, and mentors, members engage in education advocacy.

Helping Youth by Providing Enridhment (HYPE) provides social, cultural and educational experiences for children living in Chapel Hill-Carrboro low-income, public housing communities. In addition to serving as tutors, playmates, and mentors, members engage in education advocacy.

 
Main Activity PDF Print E-mail

To HYPE members must volunteer at an Orange County family resource center for a minimum of one hour one day a week, Monday through Friday. The Campus Y provides transportation to centers, but members may also drive or arrange carpools.
